With a closure ceremony on 23 January 2012 Meteksan Defence Company completed “Development of Millimetre-wave Radar Techniques for Land Target Engagement – MILDAR” project. TÜBİTAK supported project started in 2007 and the first millimetre-wave radar was developed in Turkey. Radar technology developed is configurable and expected to be used in small and light Ka-band sensors in unmanned air vehicles, sensor systems of land vehicles and fixed land based applications for close range protection.
